Jasper National Park
Jasper National Park is the largest of Canada's Rocky Mountain National Parks. It is located in the province of Alberta and covers 10,878 km2. It is home to the great glaciers of the Columbia Ice Field, hot springs (including the Miette Hot Springs), lakes and waterfalls. The main wild animals depicted are elk, moose, mountain goat, horned sheep, black bear, grizzly, and caribou. This park is part of the Canadian Rockies Parks, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tourism
The most famous and photogenic landscape is Lake Maligne. You can take the Caterpillar Bus to Athabasca Glacier, the main rivers in the park are the Columbia River, the North Saskatchewan River, and the Athabasca River.The only significant community in the park is Jasper, where the information center is located. The park stretches south through Banff National Park.
